When I was growing up, I never thought of myself as creative. I had no sense of combining colors, my fashion sense was no where to be seen, and the most I could draw was a house – a very plain house. And sadly, not much of that has changed over the years!
Much to my surprise though, motherhood seemed to ignite a real passion for food, not just eating it, but making it. I began to become a real ingredient risk taker who had a built in testing team to provide regular, albeit, honest feedback – that would be my family!
I discovered an incredible joy in bringing my children’s imaginations to life on their birthday’s through my cake creations. The surprise and joy experienced made the many hours of effort so worth it.
I even tried my hand in personal cheffing for awhile but realized I found it way to stressful cooking for others and my passion for food was really more of a personal love.
It is this passion and creativity for food that has driven me to explore even further by creating tasty and “texture-friendly” gluten-free foods and vegetarian meals. As I come up with or find new recipes, I will add them to this site so you and your family can enjoy great tasting, easy (usuallly!), and nutritious food…plus some less-than-nutritious stuff along the way!
